Blue Buttons

I sewed them on
Before I left the house
But I see how these blue, blue buttons stand out
On my black, black suit
I lose all elegance, that je ne sais crois
I'm more like namby-pamby now
Yes, girls, there's that namby-pamby fellow
The one with the blue buttons
Yeah, the buttons that stand out
like pupils in an Annie cartoon
What a jerk.
I'll bet he's never had a girl in his life.
